Artist Residency – Palm Springs, California – January 2018-April 2018 – Through photography, sketches, small studies and paintings, I am exploring the rural landscape of the desert in the region. Located in the Coachella Valley desert region, Palm Springs is sheltered by the San Bernardino Mountains to the north, the Santa Rosa Mountains to the south, by the San Jacinto Mountains to the west and by the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the east. Different times of day shows a different view of the landscape because of the lighting effects that occur. The shadows on the mountains show an everchanging picture. Each beautiful and intriguing because of the changing colours.
